Due Nov. 2026
I'm Erin S., the breeder behind Empyre Great Pyrenees located in Antwerp, NY. The Great Pyrenees is our passion! Our goal is to preserve the integrity of the breed in health, genetic diversity, temperament, and conformation. All of our dogs live in our home as part of our family and puppies are raised utilizing the Puppy Culture program. We strive to breed well rounded puppies that can guard livestock, perform in the show ring, snuggle on the couch, or all of the above.

Why did you start breeding?
What makes your program special?
Where do your breeding dogs live?

These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.

Erin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Erin partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Puppies are not placed based color, markings, or whether the puppy "picks you". When taking reservations, only sex preference is reserved. We do not begin picks for individual puppies of reserved sex until they are seven weeks old after temperament testing is completed. Those first seven weeks also gives us time to closely watch emerging personalities to further evaluate what type of home would be a good fit. We do not pick your puppy for you, but armed with our information, work together with you to decide which puppy will be best for your family. While we base puppy placement on temperament first and foremost, we do take preferences on markings and appearance into consideration. If more than one puppy is a match temperament wise, you may then pick your puppy on appearance from matched puppies. ”

“Price includes prepaid AKC registration, 1st vaccination timed by nomograph, age appropriate deworming, veterinary health examination, microchip with lifetime enrollment in AKC reunite, and a lifetime of breeder support from the moment your puppy is born. Puppies are raised with a combination of Puppy Culture, AviDog, and Empowered Breeder curriculum, and will be started on potty training, and basic puppy manners. Our reservation fee is generally nonrefundable, but this policy will be reviewed on a case by case basis.”
Erin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Erin offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Erin directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.
You can drive or fly to pick up your puppy from Erin.

All went well at Phoebe's appointment today and we saw 10 babies on xray! Can't wait to meet them in a few short days🥰

Phoebe's belly grows by the day! While she is out relaxing with her sister and their chickens, we are hard at work inside preparing the comfy whelping (birthing) room for her and her babies🥰 Friday is xray day! X-rays aren't just for fun to see how many babies there are. They let us get an accurate puppy count and evaluate size relative to Mom’s pelvis. It helps us manage whelping more safely! Especially knowing when she’s done delivering and whether there’s any risk of a puppy being too large to pass.

🌱☂️Just under 3 weeks to go until we meet the "Spring Showers" litter! About 5 days before her due date Phoebe will have an xray to check sizes of puppies and let us know how many to expect. Stay tuned!

The "Under The Sea" babies are 6 weeks old! 💙🔱🩷🧜♀️❤️🦀🩵🦤💛🐠💚👑💜🐙 While it will take time, and dedication from their new families to perfect, we have begun laying the groundwork for good manners. Some things we are working on are, biting toys not hands, going potty outside, and not jumping up to ask for what they want. We also continue to expose them to different sights, sounds, people, and walking surfaces. Next week will be super exciting, because it's temperament testing and puppy pick time!!!

The "Under The Sea" babies are 5 weeks old! 🧜♀️🩷🦤🩵🦀❤️🐙💜👑💚🔱🩵🐠💛 They are champs at using the potty box now, are drinking water from bowls, and are nibbling on hard kibble. Today is the last day in the extended whelping box, they will be moving to the toddler pen this afternoon! Their personalities are really starting to emerge, and in just 2 short weeks we will be doing temperament testing. New individual pictures will be taken today, but here are some candids in the meantime🥰

We have gotten three Great Pyrenees puppies from Erin over the years. And they have all been wonderful! Nobody cares more about her puppies, their parents, and clients than Erin! A lot of breeders tell you they will be there if you need advice or help, but not all of them follow through. Erin does! She is always ready to share her expertise and hold your hand if you need something. No one cares as much as she does!

Erin is such a joy! She is so kind, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had which made the entire process completely stress free. Her love and care for her animals really shows and took away any doubts I had about picking the right breeder. Rune has been such a blessing to my home and family, and is the sweetest and smartest little guy ever 🧡. I couldn't be happier with how this whole experience has been and I can't wait for all the adventures I'll get to have with this special boy 🥰. I would not hesitate to work with Erin again and cannot recommend her enough.

Erin goes WAY above and beyond anything we expected. The knowledge and responsiveness was unmatched and so appreciated. You can tell she cares for the breed in general, along with caring for each and every one of the dogs. She made the process comfortable and easy. From beginning to end Erin stayed with us and we felt very taken care of throughout the entirety. Thank you SO much! This is my 3rd Great Pyrenees. I have a 2yr old Newfie and wanted him to have a brother! I have to say that Erin was and is the most awesome breeder I have ever worked with! Incredibly knowledgeable and always available for questions and advice. Bromley (Eric) is a well adjusted, very happy puppy and loves his big brother. He came home on September 6th and by the 30th was toilet trained. He loves his crate, toys and playing outside with Bear! He is growing rapidly and we just love him to bits! Thank you Erin for a beautiful, fun loving puppy!🥰

From the start, I could tell that Erin's Empyre Great Pyrenees puppies come from nothing BUT love! Erin was super professional and responsive. Answered any and al questions I had about the entire process. Erin gave my family a well written puppy contract that laid out every detail in regards to AKC registration, vet visits, temperament etc. Erin produced a puppy that has been the LIGHT of my families life! Rolf was selected for us based on his temperament. I think Erin is a part-time psychic because we could not of had a more perfect puppy! Rolf astonished my vet at his first visit in both cuteness and the level of preparation that Erin took before allowing us to take Rolf home. Erin made the pickup process super smooth and easy! I would highly recommend a puppy from Empyre Great Pyrenees. These dogs are so loved and you can tell! Endless gratitude for Erin.
