I'm Burke E., the breeder behind Erickson Ranch Boerboels located in Bon Aqua, TN. We love the breed, our Boerboels are raised and live in our home with us, they have been raised with our four boys, cattle , pigs , guinea fowl and chickens. They are well socialized, healthy Boerboels.
Q. & A. with Burke
Why did you start breeding?
We originally wanted to breed for each of our boys to have their own dogs, we are now moving into breeding on a small scale with solid foundation Boerboels. Our male is Blitzkrieg Preacher 85 SABBS at 12 months old, a lean 197.5 pounds. Our female is Mae Gypsy, 133 pounds, super athletic. Both have really sound temperaments.
What makes your program special?
Being involved with the breed as longs as we have, relationships with other really good breeders, and mainly our dogs live in our home and are apart of our family. They have been raised with our boys, exposed to all types of situations to help them develop into sound representations of the breed. They are well socialized and produce really good puppies. At 7 weeks we begin obedience training.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
