Meet the breeder

I'm Rochelle N., the breeder behind Eyrie Kennels located in Carbondale, KS. We are Preservation Breeders who make our breeding decisions from health tested dogs who have proven their temperment, conformation and hunt drive and have a quality wirehaired coat while mainting breed type. Hunting season is limited so a good temperment for your companion is invaluable.

Q. & A. with Rochelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased our first Wirehaired Pointing Griffon in 2021 after researching many different breeds. She is the perfect mix of hunt drive and companion. She and I passed our Therapy Dog Team Evaluation in early 2026. She puts the same heart into Therapy Visits as she does hunting. She passed all of her health testing. It is my goal to continue breeding for the traits that make WPG so special.
  • What makes your program special?

We are special because of the traits we place priority on in our breedings. We breed to the AWPGA standard with priority on temperment, conformation, quality wirehaired coats and hunt drive. Our breeding stock are tested in the show ring to assure breeding to the standard and tested in the field to assure hunt drive. We select for biddabilty which makes our WPG valuable companions as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are brown and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rochelle

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a health guarantee, worming, first round of vaccines, microchip, AKC and NAVHDA registration. All puppies have been started on socialization and will have a swag bag. After an ultrasound confirmed pregnancy, we accept a $500 deposit for approved homes. The deposit will be refunded in the event we do not have a puppy that would be a good fit for your home.”
