We breed fully health tested, titled rat terriers with the goal of producing high quality show dogs, athletic performance competitors, diligent farm dogs, and beloved family pets that exemplify everything the rat terrier breed has to offer.

Why did you start breeding?
Seeing the difference in health, temperament, and structure between well bred and poorly bred dogs motivated me to promote and begin breeding quality, health tested, well tempered dogs that meet the rat terrier breed standard. I got my first show/breeding quality dogs from my mother in law, Theda, and began working with her to breed the best rat terriers we can!What makes your program special?
Each breeding involves the utmost care, from early planning until they go home. Our breeding dogs are fully health tested and compete successfully at many prominent events. We participate in all sorts of dog sports, from agility and obedience to dock diving. We take puppy raising seriously, and devote lots of time and effort into raising puppies and selecting the perfect home for each puppy.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), DNA Disease Panel, Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
