I'm Bailey C., the breeder behind Finnan's Ranch German Shorthaired Pointers located in Penn Valley, CA. Our puppies are raised in our home as part of the family, learning good manners and socialization with our children, along with animal species -chickens, goats, and rabbits on the ranch! Our goal is to build the foundation for a dog who is ready to bring joy and fun to your family each day.

Why did you start breeding?
As a youth, I have always loved animals - esp dogs and horses. When I joined 4H and started learning about breeding responsibly and how to be a professional, my mom and I decided to start showing and raising puppies. I showed AKC Havanese and Golden Retrievers. As an adult, I wanted to start working with my own breed - the German Shorthaired Pointer my perfect match. :)What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in our home, on the farm, surrounded by our loving boys and menagerie of Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, Holland Lop rabbits, and cats! Our puppies are socialized and loved on since day one. They are bold and brave - having the foundation to be confident in whatever pursuit.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver roan, white and liver, liver and white, black roan, liver, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“This price includes vaccinations and deworming. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or sex. A deposit secures your selection spot at 4-5 weeks old. After 5 weeks, an individual puppy can be reserved directly.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
