I'm Maren O., the breeder behind Fireheart German Shorthaired Pointers located in La Mesa, CA. My goal is to create excellent hunting, show, and active pet companions, with health and temperament at the forefront of my program. My first breeding is planned for Spring 2026 and I’m eager to see what this talented pair of shorthairs produces.

Maren has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Maren partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

About Scarlet
Scarlet is the most lovely, well rounded GSP you will have the pleasure of meeting. Of all the things I can brag about with this sweet girl, her temperament is by far my favorite part. She is first and foremost an excellent family pet- easy to live with, has her goofy silly moments, but is generally quiet and calm. She is well decorated, having obtained her conformation championship title with a 5 point specialty major at 13 months old. We took a year off showing and brought her back in the ring for her grand championship, which she earned with several majors and champion defeats. Although we never finished her UKC Championship, she did attend 2 shows and won 2 Group 1’s along with a Reserve Best In Show. Now let’s get to the fun stuff- Scarlet is an incredible bird dog. She is birdy as can be and so biddable in the field. She’s a little upland machine, and earned her Senior Hunter title at only 2 years old by going 4/4 passes on one double double hunt test weekend. Scarlet also has her Flyball Champion title, and has dabbled in obedience, scentwork, and absolutely loves to swim. She is exactly what I strive to create in my program- a balanced, healthy dog that is up for anything and everything.
