Breeder of Irish Wolfhounds

Meet the breeder

I'm Rebecca K., the breeder behind Fireswift Irish Wolfhounds located in Houston, TX. We are a new breeder with a focus on dogs with excellent health, drive, temperament, and conformation. Our breeding dogs will be active in the show ring and also compete for performance and temperament titles. We expect our dogs to be excellent pets who can be as versatile as their families.

Q. & A. with Rebecca

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first Irish Wolfhound from a wonderful breeder who opened my eyes to the amazing and passionate world of ethical dog breeding, conformation, and dog sports. The intense bond between breeders and their dogs was inspiring to me. My first wolfhound has turned out to be a wonderful example of her breed and through her, I want to contribute to the IWH breed as a whole.
  • What makes your program special?

I intend to produce dogs that are sound both structurally and temperamentally with a focus on versatility and drive.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
