I'm Sydney H., the breeder behind Fleury Farm Doodles Eastern NC located in Elizabeth City, NC. We breed genetically cleared and OFA certified dogs, and then lovingly home-raise their puppies with proven methods of stimulation and training at appropriate developmental stages, namely Puppy Culture and Empowered Breeder.
Q. & A. with Sydney
Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding our Doodles in 2011 with our beloved F1 Goldendoodles, Dood and Kitty. In 2015 we began breeding Standard Sheepadoodles, and in 2019 we expanded our little family business and are now Fleury Farm Doodles of North Carolina AND Tennessee, adding Mini Bernedoodles and Whoodles.
What makes your program special?
We breed for health, temperament and looks by genetically testing our adults for over 170 known genetic diseases, and we do OFA certifications on hips, elbow, patella, heart, eyes. We start our puppies out right with Puppy Culture AND Empowered Breeder training from day 3 of their lives (starting with Early Neurological Stimulation). We also begin house training when our pups are 4 weeks old.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include merle, red, wheaten, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
