Due Oct. 2026
I'm Leona F., the breeder behind Forestwood Farms Great Pyrenees located in Cedar City, UT. We breed our dogs with the goal of bettering the breed; focusing on a temperament that is calm yet aware, excellent health by performing all breed related testing and more, and breeding for the structure in the breed standard. We believe a good dog must have all 3 parts to be able to be the best they can be whether it be a Livestock Guardian, Companion/Pet, Therapy/ Service, or Show/Breeding Dog.

Why did you start breeding?
What makes your program special?
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Leona has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Leona partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“I want to make sure each puppy gets into the right home. After we have a phone conversation and both feel you are the right home for a Great Pyrenees. A deposit will be placed to secure a puppy male, female or either. I carefully monitor their temperament as they are growing up. Around 8 weeks I will work with you on final picks based off what your needs are and the temperament I feel will match best. ”

“This price includes AKC registration, first vaccines, deworming, microchipping, go home kit and the countless hours of raising your new family member. The deposit is to hold your reservation for a puppy. Usually male, female or either. At 8 weeks I will guide you on what puppy will be the best fit for your situation.”
Leona may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Leona offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Leona directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

We adopted our sweet little boy “Chunk” from Leona, and he has been absolutely incredible! From day one, he’s loved our kids and fit right into our family as if he’s always been here. It’s clear that Leona truly cares about her puppies and raises them with love and attention. Even after the adoption, she has continued to be an amazing resource—always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we have. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend getting your pup from Leona!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
