Meet the breeder

I'm Teresa G., the breeder behind Foxfire Vizslas located in Old Town, FL. I devote my puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. My breedings are carefully thought out to match pedigrees, body types, temperaments, and personalities in order to produce only well-bred puppies.

Q. & A. with Teresa

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother was a top vizsla breeder, active in Obedience & showing dogs in the ring over 60 yrs. I grew up in the breed, 2nd generation, becoming very active in competition of Show & Field. It’s a family passion with 3 generations of vizsla fanciers. My daughter, Erin, is also active in the breed, becoming a Professional Dog Handler in the ring for over 30 yrs, now working for AKC.
  • What makes your program special?

I take great pride in my litters, breeding for good health, natural breed ability and breed structure. I strongly believe how a litter is raised the first 8 weeks after birth makes a huge difference in developing into a sound, mentally balanced adult dog.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
