I'm Amanda P., the breeder behind Galore Glens located in Homestead, PA. We fell in love with the Glen of Imaal Terrier because of their intelligence and personality. They are fierce but comical and love their families. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them the way that we do!
Q. & A. with Amanda
What makes your program special?
Galore Glens is a family and the dogs are an integral part of the family. The puppies are in the house and each are given special love. Our puppies are introduced to children early who snuggle and cuddle all the puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include wheaten and blue brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a female Glen of Imaal Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Amanda decided to make her part of their program. Amanda has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Galore Glens reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Glen of Imaal Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
