I'm Ava H., the breeder behind Garden Scottish Terriers located in Warwick, RI. My priority is to ensure the health and well-being of all my dogs from birth until they leave with their forever family and beyond. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's beloved pet. Each puppy is considered a member of my family, and I ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes.
Q. & A. with Ava
Why did you start breeding?
I considered breeding Scottish Terriers when the breeder I bought my second one mentioned the idea to me (following the death of my first). She lives 1000 miles from me, as it is very difficult to find Scottish terrier puppies in New England. Currently I have a 6-month-old male, and am picking up my female next month.
What makes your program special?
My program will be small and personal with all dogs as in-home residents and all pups raised in my home. My aim is to breed healthy, happy pups and prepare them to be beautiful, loving companions, all within breed standards.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
