Meet the breeder

I'm Lindsey H., the breeder behind Gemini Kennels located in Newark, OH. Our dogs are part of our family and each puppy is raised indoors as one of our own pets. The goal we set and which we believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy.

Q. & A. with Lindsey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always loved dogs, and the first dog I ever bred was a Shih Poo when I was only 12. I shadowed a vet and he was my mentor for many years teaching me all he could about whelping and caring for litters.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our puppies are raised inside our home and interact with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. They are overly pampered and spoiled and each one is very special to us. We incorporate ENS protocol and handle every puppy as often as possible. We also start a grooming schedule to get them used to being groomed.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Shihpoo puppies include tiny and mini sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Chihuahua puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Shih Tzu puppies include black, liver, blue, liver and white, blue and white, black and white, and brindle. Chihuahua puppies include merle, chocolate, blue, fawn brindled black, chocolate and white, chocolate and tan, blue and white, blue merle, black and white, blue and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Lindsey was such a thoughtful and present breeder. From before my puppy Sloane was born, I was updated often and any questions I had were always answered promptly. I received consistent updates, including so many pictures and videos, which I was so grateful for. Sloane was basically potty trained by the time I got him home. Lindsey definitely knows what she’s doing, and I would highly recommend adopting a puppy from her!

My journey for my new baby with Lindsey from start to finish was top tier. I value quality, so I didn’t want to purchase a puppy from anywhere. So I did my research and found good dog. After carefully reading reviews and browsing through breeders. I stumbled upon Lindsey, my spirit found my baby on her page. I was hesitant at first but, once I reached out. I found that Lindsey was super professional, helpful and made my experience easy and peaceful. She is the real deal. She makes sure that your puppy has all his necessary shots before pick up and even microchipped my baby. I truly had an amazing experience with Lindsey. My new fur baby Sable, is super sweet and very well mannered, for a puppy. He’s the perfect addition to our growing family. Lindsey Thank you for everything. I would definitely be recommending more people to Gemini Kennels. They are the real deal. If you want to make sure that you’re getting a good quality puppy. Gemini Kennels is it. I will be getting another puppy in the future. I will be a returning customer. Sable is happy and Healthy, and that’s all that matters! Thank s Lindesy!!💖🫶🏾

Lindsey was very responsive and knowledgeable about the Shi Tzu breed.... Once we decided to buy our puppy who is absolutely adorable...she taught Berta her name. Lindsey sent me pictures and kept me posted about her progress continually. AND let me tell you about Berta, she is the best puppy, the mildest mannered Shi Tzu, I've ever had...she is loving and kind and my 1-year-old granddaughter just loves her...she is pretty much potty trained at 18 weeks old, and she puts herself to bed every night. I would buy a puppy from Lindsey all over again if ever I need one. Thank you, Lindsey we adore out little Berta girl!!!

Puppy is fine doing really good potty training. He is so tentative to us and I believe he loves us a lot.

Lindsey was so easy to work with! She was responsive to the initial inquiry as well as generous with Ozzy’s pickup date and time. Ozzy has been such a good little boy: we just adore him!
