I'm Carrie M., the breeder behind Golden State Chihuahuas located in Citrus Heights, CA. We take great pride in our program. Our dogs live in our home, are never crated, Most of them sleep with us are extremely well taken care of, loved, and socialized. The health of our dogs and puppies is a top priority.   • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding shih tzus around 20 years ago, but I always had a chihuahua. My first chihuahua lived 18 years & was my soul dog. I absolutely love the long-coat Chihuahuas and decided to change the direction of my program around 6 years ago after a break in breeding. My goal is to breed healthy, sound puppies to breed standard.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are a part of our family. They live in our home and are well-socialized. All parents are health tested, all dogs & puppies receive regular vet checkups.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate, black sabled silver, cream and white, chocolate and white, and chocolate and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Carrie

Carrie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,300 - $6,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies will come with AKC registration papers. They are vet-checked, dewormed, vaccinated and socialized. All dogs are Embark DNA tested. Puppy bag includes toys, blanket, food they are eating. We accept deposits when the puppies are at least 4 weeks old. The deposit is non-refundable. The remainder of the puppy payment is due on the date of pick-up.”

Contract & health guarantee

Carrie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
