Q. & A. with Ashli
Why did you start breeding?
We love our Wirehaired Pointing Griffon so much and thought we would breed her. We aren't like a traditional kennel. The puppies have been raised in our home so they will transition to a regular home setting easily. We'd love to talk to you and tell you more about the WPG's and introduce you to our pups!
What makes your program special?
We have done our due diligence in making sure the health of both the Dam and Sire is good so there are no genetic issues. Our goal is to have healthy and well behaved puppies that easily transition to their forever homes. We have raised these puppies in our home. They have been worked with on some retrieve and tracking as well as just basic puppy commands. We make sure to properly socialize.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Hall's TX Griffons reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Wirehaired Pointing Griffons.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
