I'm Kari N., the breeder behind Happy Little Chihuahuas located in Isanti, MN. We are a small, in-home breeder of quality AKC Chihuahuas. Our dogs are our pride and joy and we love sharing them with others! We are a small, in-home breeder of quality AKC Chihuahuas. We only have a few litters each year, and our puppies are raised right in the family room. All our dogs come from champion lines.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our puppies come with their AKC registration applications, are vetted, come from champion lines, and are started on litter box training when they go home. We are focused on finding the perfect home for our puppies. If you do not seem like a good fit for a specific dog, you may wait for another litter.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, fawn, red, black sabled fawn, black sabled silver, blue, blue brindled fawn, blue fawn, gold, and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kari

Kari has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kari partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Puppies are assessed for temperament to make sure they go to a suitable lifestyle. For example: shy pups won’t be placed in homes with lots of children. High energy pups won’t be placed with senior citizens unless said person is active and fit and wants a high energy dog.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $400 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices are firm, but I do provide a military discount on limited AKC prices with proof. I also provide a discount if you purchase multiple puppies from me. Deposit is non refundable unless the puppy shall die or become unfit for sale.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kari may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
