I'm Denise R., the breeder behind Harvest Plantation located in Franklin, PA. We produce healthy, biddable Karakachan puppies with solid temperaments that make outstanding livestock guardian dogs. Our dogs are known for their outstanding abilities as LGDs. We breed with a focus on health, temperament, and drive. We have added a imported male and female pair from Bulgaria.

Why did you start breeding?
A fellow sheep breeder shared about the breed and we researched and fell in love.What makes your program special?
We cared enough about the breed and keeping the true breed strong that we imported a male and female from Bulgaria to add to our breeding program. The parents of these dogs were three generations of working dogs in the mountains of Bulgaria guarding sheep.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Denise has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Denise partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.
"We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. Theses pups are not sold as pups they are livestock guardian dogs. We try to match puppies to buyers when they are old enough to observe temperaments and personalities. Your choice of pup is first determined by deposit date then your preferance remember color is not the first indicator in what you are looking for; first and foremost is personality, temperment and best fit for you, your family and your farm. "
Price
"Health guarantee, AKDA Registered Karakachan LGD and sold as Livestock Guardian Dogs or possible Special Needs Dog for special needs child. Not sold as a pet. We do not withhold breeding rights. Ability to choose your own puppy and name, including vaccines worming, microchip and vet checked. Discounts for veterans, physicians, nurses, police, start up farms with livestock."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
