I'm Judith H., the breeder behind Hawk’s Nest Kennels located in Wallace, NC. I breed healthy, temperamentally sound, conformationally correct Russell Terriers. My dogs do well as pets or as show dogs. I take pride in breeding dogs that are healthy, happy, and well-rounded. Russell Terriers have so much to offer the world, I take it as my responsibility to make sure they have the tools to achieve their fullest potential.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding through a desire to produce a Russell Terrier that was both a companion and A reflection of the breed standard. It's been quite a process but I've never looked back.What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because I take the animal's physical health and temperament into consideration above all other things. Without physical health and a good temperament, a dog doesn’t have the opportunities to achieve their fullest potential. Next I apply lessons from "Puppy Culture" to ensure that each pup has a paw up on life.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and $1,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Scout is a grand champion in conformation, a wonderful mother, and an absolute show off in the ring. When she enters the ring, she OWNS it. She is the closest thing I've ever had to a true Alpha dog. She is intensely loyal, affectionate, and able to switch on a dime if danger approaches.
