I'm Cathy and Greg A., the breeder behind Heart Song Dalmatians located in El Dorado Hills, CA. We enjoy training our dogs, competing in conformation and performance classes at dog shows, and spending lots of time with them doing a variety of activities! We love our dogs dearly and are so proud of their accomplishments.
Q. & A. with Cathy and Greg
Why did you start breeding?
When I first heard of the Heritage Project, I was still teaching school and our three sons were not "out of the nest" yet, so I couldn't help breed this healthier version of my beloved Dalmatians. Now Greg and I are semi-retired, we have improving the genetic health of the Dalmatian as one of our bucket list projects. We currently live with 5 Dalmatians, horses, chickens, and a cat.
What makes your program special?
Though our dogs are champions, we prioritize the health of our dogs over winning more blue ribbons. Both can be done!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
