Meet the breeder

I'm Clair O., the breeder behind Heavenly Longhaired Weimaraner’s located in Walton, KY. Longhaired Weimaraners are not recognized by the AKC in the US for showing, they are purebreds and come with AKC limited pedigree certificate (no breeding rights). The breed originated in Germany and is widely recognized by many international clubs. Well adjusted and confident puppies bred for health and temperament. I begin training, socialization, enrichment, exposure, and desensitization early.

Q. & A. with Clair

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had a terrible experience with a Weimaraner breeder, November 2016 in Georgia. I vowed after that experience that I would become one of the best responsible breeders in the USA. Someone a buyer could trust, so no one would go through what I went through. I love breeding - I don't breed often, but hen I do it's my favorite time of the year.
  • What makes your program special?

Both my Sire and Dam have had OFA Eyes, heart, thyroid, elbows, patella and PennHip tests done. I’ve also had their DNA tested by Embark and the University of California. I only breed occasionally. I breed naturally and we are under the care of one of Kentucky’s top reproduction specialists.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
