We aim to produce healthy and thoroughly socialized Drent puppies that develop into ideal companions for the family, farm, and field. Through careful selection of bloodlines, extensive evaluation (eyes, hips, elbows, hunting, temperament, conformation), and thorough socialization.

About Oakley
Oakley (Duck Creek's Painted Wings) is our second dog from Duck Creek Drents. Oakley is spunky, playful, and energetic. She can run for hours and still feel shortchanged when it's time to head home. Oakley especially loves playing with the kids and teasing Rachelle by stealing her gardening gloves. She is also extremely competitive and loves to beat Finn to the bumper or outlast him in the field. Oakley has incredible prey drive and she loves to hunt birds. While searching, she quarters gracefully at about 80 yards, Her strong pointing instinct developed early. When it's time to hunt, she changes gears from a happy-go-lucky pup into a driven versatile bird dog.

About Lova
Lova is a Swedish import from Renslingan's Kennels. She joined High Desert Drents in May of 2023. She is energetic and loves to play. She is always eager to please. She is on the submissive end of the spectrum so she thrives with training that is positive and full of praise. She is extremely smart and seems to always be two steps ahead of our other dogs.

About Finn
Finn is a male Drentsche Patrijshond. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Jesse decided to make him part of their program. Jesse has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
