Meet the breeder

I'm Linda C., the breeder behind Highview Spanish Water Dogs, LLC located in New Jersey. We raise our puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. Our family-based, selective breeding program, is dedicated to preserving the form, function, and versatility of the breed as it is known in Spain. Our dogs are raised and socialized in a family environment. We breed for excellence and temperament.

Q. & A. with Linda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I became interested in showing with the arrival of my second Spanish Water Dog, a female named Tessa whose sire and dam were imported from Spain. She was shown through ARBA, the American Rare Breed Association and achieved a full championship. She sealed the deal with her first litter arriving in 2010. My current litter is the 4th generation US bred from her bloodline.
  • What makes your program special?

All my dogs are selected for their stable temperaments, intelligence, ability to perform, soundness of structure and form, and their health. All parents have been genetically screened for carrier genes and have had their hips rated and cleared for dysplasia.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
