I'm Kerry C., the breeder behind HillView Basenjis located in Temecula, CA. For seven years raising Basenjis as members of our own family. Puppies grow up in our home, not kennels, with love, enrichment, and careful socialization. As dedicated breeders we prioritize both temperament and health. Every HillView Basenji carries the legacy of carefully selected bloodlines.

Why did you start breeding?
From first-time Basenji owner to dedicated breeder, Kerry's 18 year journey grew from love into a mission. Together with her twin Kelly at HillView Basenjis, they focus on preserving this rare breed's health, genetics, and distinctive qualities - creating a legacy of healthy, well bred Basenjis.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program focuses on preserving both the breed's distinctive qualities and genetic health. We strive to meet the breeds high standards all while avoiding any hereditary issues. All Hillview Basenji pups are raised in a family home, socialized and cared for closely with no kennels and plenty of hands on care.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black tan and white, red and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
