I'm Bella G., the breeder behind Hokua Silken Windhounds located in Shoreline, WA. Show and sport dogs with a focus on versatility in performance and personable temperaments.
Q. & A. with Bella
Why did you start breeding?
I started as a pet home uninterested in showing, sports, or anything- but realized very quickly that I had a dog capable of so much more than I thought any dog could be capable of. I made the decision to breed in the hopes of leaving a positive, lasting mark on these dogs, be it in pedigrees or the community, or both. If every owner can be as happy as I have been so far, it's a victory in my book.
What makes your program special?
The Silken Windhound is charismatic, sweet, and intelligent, and I strive to produce puppies that prove this time and time again! I utilize as much as I can to create confident, versatile individuals that fit exceptionally well into their forever homes as well as stand as impeccable examples of the breed as a whole. I'm lucky to have experienced mentors, and outlets to prove the worth of my dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
