I'm Gilda T., the breeder behind Hollytree Dalmatians located in Decatur, AL. I'm a 'Dog Mom' who trains, shows, and loves her Dalmatians. I'm a dog trainer and show exhibitor. I don't breed often; therefore, I want the best with healthy and smart Dals. My dogs live in the house and yard. I'm a *retired nurse. Puppies get love, attention, & toys in a great environment.

About Enzo
Enzo is like the perfect dog. He is now head man at Hollytree Dalmatians and gets along with all dogs, including male dogs, and people. Enzo finished his AKC Championship during his third weekend at the dog shows. He won 4 major wins to include Winners Dog at the Greater Atlanta Dalmatian Specialty show. Enzo returned to the ring after getting his Championship, to earn his Grand Championship and also winning Group One and several other Group placements. Enzo would go with any handler to be shown and even a Jr. Showmanship Handler of age 16 years old. His pedigree is full of Champions to include a Top 10 sire from Brazil, a World record breaking winner from Australia, and his maternal grandsire was Number One in the USA and produced many Champions. Enzo and Kate are both big "smilers," and I bet these puppies will smile, too! His tail is constantly wagging. Enzo is the thinking & smart type of Dalmatian, making him very trainable and motivated. I do wish I had the time to go to training classes and allow him to earn more performance titles. He has versatility in that he will hunt vermin/mice, gather / herd horses or cattle, does basic obedience and has a Fast CAT (lure coursing ability test) title as well as the AKC CGC and ATT (temperament test). Enzo attended dog daycare for many years and was one of the best temperament dogs in the yard. People would remark that a male still 'intact' and that level headed set an example of great temperament. He was a fabulous show dog with moderate size and gorgeous structure and spotting. There are only 2 dogs in his pedigree that are *not* Champions! His * OFA health tests are posted on the OFA site under his registered name. Now Enzo is a very loved and spoiled house dog. He loves to shop, bicycle exercise in the nearby park, go for hikes, go for a swim in a lake, and go to softball games. Enzo does a 'smile' (smirks showing his teeth) and also 'talks' to communicate his wants. He loves to snuggle in bed, sleep on the sofa, and plays with the other Dalmatians. You could not image a more perfect dog!

About Kate
Kate has a lot of charm with everyone. She is super sweet. She is a big 'smiler' showing her teeth and a talker. She makes all sorts of funny 'talks' with 'woo-woooo-woo' and 'chortles' to get my attention. While a playful dog, Kate is a fairly calm dog. She loves to hunt chipmunks and squirrels in the yard and will go after them. Kate makes me laugh and I could not image my life without her. She is very easy to train! Kate's sire is the record breaking winning Dalmatian of the United Kingdom, CH Offordale Chevalier, JW. This British Dalmatian won the Crufts Dog Show X 2; Crufts being the largest show in the World. Kate's dam, Petunia, aka 'Toonya' had some big wins during her show career, including the Atlanta Dalmatian specialty. Kate is an AKC Champion and Grand Champion. She has her AKC CGC and ATT. She has OFA tests posted on OFA . org. Kate did very well at the dog shows; I put several show win photos under her "Photos." I don't believe she ever left the Ring without a placement. Judges like to see beautiful spotting and a ground covering trot; and Kate has both! Her favorite things are her spotted family, me, hunting squirrels or chipmunks, shopping at stores, running in a huge farm field, splashing in a lake, and going for a bicycle ride at a nearby park. While she will play with toys, she is not huge on retrieving or carrying a toy around. Kate loves her litter brother, Camden (see his Sire profile and plays with him and younger friend, Kimber.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
