I'm Debra G., the breeder behind Inspire German Shorthaired Pointers located in Kunkletown, PA. I am a small scale breeder, only choosing to breed certain dogs who conform to the standard. My goal as a breeder is to continue to improve the breed as a whole by focusing on temperament, structure, and versatility . Our dogs are proven in the field, in the show ring, and in various performance venues. They are loving and as happy in the field as they are on the couch and are easily adaptable. We breed less than one litter per year and all puppies are raised with love in my home. All dogs are health screened, having clearances recommended by the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America.
Q. & A. with Debra
Why did you start breeding?
After many years of owning and loving GSP's, I decided to learn as much as I could about the breed itself, the standard, bloodlines, health concerns etc. before ever considering breeding. Taking the knowledge I already had, paired with knowledge gained, I began to reach out to respected breeders for continued guidance. It was then that I felt ready to begin my own program.
What makes your program special?
Because I breed very infrequently and very selectively, my puppy buyers are completely part of the process, getting updates from breeding through whelping, and from neonate to going to their new homes!
I take extreme care in placing the correct puppy with the best home based on his/her personality, helping to ensure a lifetime of joy for both puppy and owner.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
