I'm Karter H., the breeder behind Ivy Creek Kennels located in Belleview, FL. Whether your goal is work, sports, or companionship, we strive to produce stable dogs with the drive to succeed. As a newer kennel we're starting off on the right foot with health testing and titling, and every day we continue to work towards our vision of ethically breeding healthy purebred dogs.
Q. & A. with Karter
Why did you start breeding?
I think the spark started at my first JRTCA trial. I wanted to try sports with a small, drivey breed, and after being introduced to working Jack Russells that was all it took. I spent a long time learning the ropes with my first foundation bitch Scoot, and then from there I made the leap into gundogs. I want to continue the traditions of those who came before me by upholding the breed standards.
What makes your program special?
We are still a new kennel and want to make sure we start out on a good path - health testing, titling, and insuring that our dogs are the proper representation of their breed in both conformation and drive. We have a lot of plans for the dogs in our program, and goals to produce fantastic pups. All we can say is, stay tuned!!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver and white and liver roan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
