I'm Janice H., the breeder behind Janice's German Shorthaired Pointers located in Milford, PA. Our dogs are family raised and bred for hunting, versatility, ability, and drive. Mom has a Master Hunter title & dad has his Senior title.Both parents have had OFA hips & elbows, DNA, cone degeneration and Von Willibrands
disease testing. We strive to improve the breed with each generation, and we do all that we can to give our puppies the best start possible. It would be our pleasure to introduce you to your next German Shorthaired Pointer!

Why did you start breeding?
I was around GSP's since the early 80's and always loved their high energy and willingness to please. When I got married we bought our 1st GSP from a very good bloodline and had a litter with excellent hunting dogs. From this I was hooked
What makes your program special?
I only have a litter after my females have at least a Senior Hunter title and have had have had their hips & elbows OFA rated. My litter are all home raised & well socialized before going to their new forever homes. All pups come with health guarentees.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), DNA Disease Panel, Cone Degeneration, German Shorthaired Pointer Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
