Meet the breeder

I'm Jaqueline S., the breeder behind Jaqueline's Pups located in Parker, CO. Our puppies have been handled since birth. They've had exposuer to normal life noises, (vacuum, hair dryer, crying baby, even holiday gatherings!), kids of all ages (0-10yrs), and 2 terrier mixes (one weighs 8 lbs and the other is about 14 lbs).

Q. & A. with Jaqueline

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have wanted to be a welping mom for most of my adult life. I decided to do it for the experience. We did it the right way, did all the health testing and vet visits, because May Flower is our baby and pet before anything else. The experience has been incredible for all of us.
  • What makes your program special?

We want healthy, happy, friendly, puppies so we let the puppies romp and play outside as often as we can. We don't separate them from each other, their mom, or the other dogs in the house to make sure they are socialized, hear every day noises, get exposure to people and being touched. They get daily exercise in the back yard from our incredible neighbor.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include grizzle and white, fawn and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Good level

Jaqueline's Pups reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Sheepadoodles.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We love our puppy. She is so smart. She literally just picked up her food dish and set it next to my husband so that he would feed her. She’s had some accidents but can miraculously hold it through the night. And she’s just so sweet and great with our autistic son.

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
