I'm Crystal B., the breeder behind Joel's Farm LLC located in Bon Aqua, TN. We lavish love, training & nurturing on our dogs, greatly enjoying our highly intelligent, affectionate, loyal, protective, devoted & loving Great Pyrenees Guardian Dogs. We love seeing our pups going to good, loving homes, so we combine quality breeding with reasonable prices.

Why did you start breeding?
We raise Sheep & needed a Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian dog that wouldn’t get hip dysplasia to die early. Our high genetic, health & temperament standards found Moses & Ruth who have very loving, nurturing and protective temperaments with each other, the livestock & people. By making their puppies available for others, we now have the puppies “human parents” as part of Joel's Farm Family!What makes your program special?
When bred, Ruth lives at home, given special foods & TLC. After birth, she & her puppies are intensely cared for in our home. The puppies are studied, learned well & nurtured to not have fear but to be all that each can be & played with by people in a peaceful, clean, farm environment. After appropriate shots, they watch and interact with our animals at age appropriate levels.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and badger and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"We provide a 2-year genetic health guarantee, Veterinary appropriate vaccinations and deworming, health docs, an AKC Limited Registration, a Bill of Sale & Lifetime support for caring for your puppy. For an additional cost your Puppy can have an AKC Full Registration. The deposit goes toward the purchase price of the puppy."

Litter update on 21 Jan •…Good Evening from Joel's Farm! I just came downstairs to see this New Sight! All the 2 week old puppies are out of their whelping pool, sleeping sprawled out with their Mama Ruth. ♡ Earlier I put up sides to keep them safe. They are growing Fast! 3 & 4 pound Puppies, eyes and ears open, walking on all fours. Yes, not the sharpest vision or hearing or walking coordination- but pretty Amazing and Sweet! Enjoy!

Litter update on 16 Jan •…Good Morning from Joel's Farm! Lots Growing on with Ruth's Puppies!! As on 1.5 days ago the Puppies' eyes started opening! As of yesterday they started walking on all fours! Yes, Puppies are born with their eyes shut and a covering over their ears so they cannot hear. It's God's loving Protection and to give time for these organs to mature well. Ruth continues to enjoy Motherhood! While the Puppies are over 3 lbs, growing and developing in leaps and bounds, their are still small, lovable and cuddly. Amazingly, to me, Great Pyrenees are like that throughout their lives, though minus the "small" part. One picture shows how Ruth has to Dance around and through the moving Puppies in order to lay down to nurse them. She didn't have to do that 2 days ago. ♡

Litter update on 11 Jan •…Good Evening from Joel's Farm! Ruth's Puppies are growing fast and fully. Ruth is back to having her Good appetite! All of them are peaceful and making lovely cuddles and squeaks. For this litter, I've been doing something new that I learned from a famous specialist, Carmen Battaglia, author of "Breeding Better Dogs". It's early N. stimulation. It teaches 5 things I can do to have the dog much healthier in 5 distinct areas throughout his life. : ) I'm so Happy to do these for such valuable results!! With love from Crystal of Joel's Farm

Litter update on 09 Jan •…Dewclaws! See how his back 2 feet each have 2 extra toes? These extra toes are called Dewclaws. Great Pyrenees Dogs were bred and worked in the Pyrenees Mountains, the mountain range along the border of France and Spain. They were bred to guard, protect and nurture the sheep, other livestock and the Shepherd's Family. Great Pyrenees have Double Dewclaws on their back feet and single Dewclaws on their front feet. These extra dewclaws provided stability on rough terrain, aid in climbing and running, and offer a better grip on icy surfaces. The Dewclaws protect against injuries and help dogs grasp objects while chewing. These dewclaws are connected by bone, and to the nerves, muscles, and tendons of the rest of the foot’s structure and serve a purpose to the dog. They are not to be removed. About Moses
Beloved Moses is our Handsome, Strong, Affectionate and Attentive Livestock Guardian Dog, who is also our Pet. Moses is very aware of his territory and protects his sheep, chickens, equines and us (his human Family) from anything that might cause harm. Moses has an eager, cheerful heart to do what is needed. He loves us and nurtures the animals around him. Moses is playful, smart and astute. We are grateful that he is part of our Family. Both Moses and Ruth are loving dogs who are having their second litter together. Their friendship runs deep and is very tender.

About Ruth
Sweet Mama Ruth is our Beautiful, Adept, Agile, Affectionate and Attentive Livestock Guardian Dog, who is also our Pet. Ruth is quick to spot whatever is needed for protecting her Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Equines and us (her human Family) from anything that might cause harm. Ruth is very nurturing to sniff and lick clean, comfort and guide the young ones as they need. Ruth is enthusiastic to please and serve with the right instincts! Both Moses and Ruth are loving dogs who are having their second litter together. Their friendship runs deep and is very tender.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
