Q. & A. with Kahaka

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have owned, trained, and hunted German Shorthairs since 1992. We are choosing to breed now for the continuation of these particular dogs’ strong hunting instincts, positive family presence, and extensive pedigree. They are incredible.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised with fresh air and room to roam, both as serious hunting partners and as an integral part of the family; whelped and raised in the house to promote early socialization and healthy development. Sire & dam onsite. They experience a variety of new things during their first 8 wks, including playing outside, exposure to water, riding in the car, and introduction to game scents.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include liver and white, liver roan, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
