We are dedicated to the future our breeds, where temperament, health, and type are rolled into some fabulous little critters that others are lucky enough to have as companions in their homes!

Why did you start breeding?
All due to my late mother :-) She loved Basenjis and I still have them, as well as the incorporation of another breed, the Italian Greyhound, into my crew.What makes your program special?
We place the greatest emphasis on temperament. It does not matter how healthy or pretty the dog is if it cannot be touched or handled. We strive to have well-rounded temperamentally sound, healthy, and beautiful Basenjis and Italian Greyhounds. As a preservation breeder, it is imperative that health testing be maintained in all of our dogs as well! Our dogs are beautiful loving family companions!!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Italian Greyhound puppies include white and blue, red fawn, seal, and blue. Basenji puppies include black and white, tri-color, red and white, and brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

She retired from the show ring last year and loves living the life of Riley now.. though gets upset if she is not the one going to dog shows these days! Jane is utterly drop-dead gorgeous, healthy, and the best tempered Basenji to grace this planet :-)

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Fanconi Syndrome, PRA, Basenji Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
