I'm Steven C., the breeder behind Ladybug Chihuahuas located in Brooklyn, CT. My dogs are my beloved fur kids. I care deeply about this breed and am proud to be responsible Chihuahua breeder. Chihuahuas are my passion, and i can't imagine spending my life without them. I am dedicated towards achieving excellence and healthy family pets.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After retiring I lost my mom. My first chihuahua Howard saved my life. He never left my side and got me through my darkest days. I knew then that I wanted to help other people like me with this amazing breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    I start early neurological stimulation and then puppy preschool, which is a continuation of behavioral training and socialization. I have had great success with this training. My puppies are raised in my home and are snuggled and loved so much.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Steven

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Steven partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a 2 yr health guarantee, a health certificate, all initial dewormings and their first vaccinations. A microchip is also sent home inside a very nice puppy package. All of my puppies at the same price regardless of sex or color. The deposit is only refundable if the puppy becomes unfit for purchase.”

    my boyfriend and I had experienced something terrible a few months ago losing a baby at 20 weeks. I would’ve been due the 31st of august. We had spent a lot of time looking through puppies where they were located and we wanted something specific. I kept finding myself going back to charlee. looking at the age and photos I realized that they weren’t up to date. so being only a few hours away I sent one message about Charlee and immediately Kim responded. she sent me photos videos and pictures of mom and dad and made sure that we could know this little girl as much as we possibly could over the phone. We spoke every single day and i got constant updates and photos and she was on the ball with ANY question I had. Kim was accommodating to us and the drive and date to get her changing it from one date to about a week earlier than originally. With no problem. We also got scammed by a fake rescue a few days prior losing 2,000 on a puppy that was a stolen picture and bio from a different rescue far out of state. Knowing what we’ve been through she was so kind to even lower the price for us and even send us home with a pen for her so we wouldn’t have to buy one. When we got there we got to meet her dogs and spend some times together like family as they all (the dogs) got to meet us and see if charlee would naturally come. And she did. We had our first vet visit yesterday and got straight As across the board on how beautiful happy and healthy she is. She basically house broken and has all her common manners despite being so young. Kim will make sure no matter what you can always call her and she will explain or walk through any struggles you have. It was an amazing experience and Charlee is an amazing little girl who clearly was worked with and trained at 9 weeks old. she’s never missed a pad and that only happens maybe two or theee times a day when she’s not taken outside but she sleeps through the night. her sassiness is all her but she’s a very very good girl. the easiest puppy i have ever had. Getting a chi from Kim is the only way I would go again knowing everything I know now and how much we have learned about charlee since she’s been home. If you want a puppy where the hardest parts are already in the puppies abilities yet you still get a little baby to bond with ladybug chihuahuas is the way to go. they were all so well mannered and pleasant to be around.

    We got our little male Merle chihuahua puppy from Kimberly almost a month ago . She spent a ton of time educating us and stayed in touch with us in the days after we brought our baby home . She is definitely an Expert and someone to have in your corner . She clearly raised him to know how to use the pee pads and crate and tolerate general noise and people /pets. She’s always ready to give help any time of day . We are so grateful to her for our puppy and would definitely use her again maybe for a puppy sibling for our baby in the future !!
