I'm Judith M., the breeder behind Lagotto in Southern California located in Vista, CA. We have combined the rustic Italian dog with dogs that have wonderful temperaments to create the best family pets. We want to preserve the rustic dog that can do the work they were bred to do, with the loving family pet. Our puppies have proven to be good retrievers, while ready to do the bidding of their family.
Q. & A. with Judith
Why did you start breeding?
In 1993, I wanted a pet Wheaten Terrier. The breeder said she would train and show for me and we would co-own the girl. She had me learn to groom her and had me take her into the ring. I was hooked in the show scene and never looked back.
What makes your program special?
My girl is the 3rd generation of home bred dogs. I look for stud dogs that compliment the qualities of my girl. I am proud of the socialization of my litters and am always so happy to make friends for life with the owners of my pups.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
