Meet the breeder

I'm Todd B., the breeder behind Lake Effect GSP's located in North Syracuse, NY. From field tested, health screened family companion parents our puppies will be sure to please. We strive to produce pups that we ourselves would be delighted to choose. Our dogs are our family members. Our puppies will be intelligent, cooperative and affectionate with easy going temperaments.

Q. & A. with Todd

  • Why did you start breeding?

I owned a pair of GSP'S and would constantly get compliments on them and questions about the possibility of puppies. They were spayed and neutered so not possible. Knowing retirement was coming i contacted breeders who shared our desires in a bird dog and with their guidance and my own research decided to move forward. I ordered puppies from two of those breeders in 2016 and our journey began.
  • What makes your program special?

As all respectable breeders we strive to adhere to our breeds standards out of respect to the hard working people who developed the breed so we can enjoy it. Our puppies are home raised and nurtured from day one, they come from parents that have displayed the characteristics that we are looking for from confirmation to temperament, prey drive to affection and the off switch. Our pups do it all.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include liver roan, liver and white, black roan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
