I'm Layna L., the breeder behind Layna's Pomeranians & Chihuahuas located in Rose Hill, KS. Our dogs have been socialized and some are retired show dogs. They have wonderful personalities and are full of love and adventure. Our dogs are or have ofa testing we strive on having very healthy and strong performance dogs. My dogs are with me in the house and are part of my family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mentors helped me get into it and educated me.

  • What makes your program special?

    I don't have litter after litter I am very selective on the dogs I breed. So I can go a year or two without a litter and I am ok with that.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Chihuahua puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Pomeranian puppies include black, red sable, and black and tan. Chihuahua puppies include chocolate, chocolate and white, black and white, and cream and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
