Meet the breeder

I'm Roxann C., the breeder behind Lipan Creek German Shorthaired Pointers located in Havana, FL. I am passionate and committed to quality breeding, training and sporting activities that help continue the legacy of the GSP. I have had pets all my life. Today, I have my own bird dogs and continue the rich traditions I learned as a child. My GSP's are companions, hunting buddies and competitors. They are proven in the field and the show ring. They also play in agility, scent work, rally and other performance venues.

Q. & A. with Roxann

  • Why did you start breeding?

My passion is raising and competing with Dual Champion prospects. My breeding program is founded in health longevity, temperament, hunting functionality and physical structure. My foundation girl possessed many of the GSP breed hallmarks and I wanted to improve her trainability traits. Through breed mentoring, I found a Hall of Fame dog with the traits I was looking to add and compliment my girl.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is special because I have produced my goal, Dual Champions. I take specific care in selecting stud dogs that compliment and add the traits I want to improve upon. I breed only for my next generation and I only breed my girls one time. Because I only do limited breeding, I spend years selecting my stud dogs. I breed for the entire package the GSP offers as a family pet.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and liver, liver roan, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
