I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Lisa's Chihuahuas located in Hickman, TN. Welcome to Sugarbutt Chihuahuas! We are a small, home-based breeder located on 46 beautiful acres in Hickman, Tennessee. Our Chihuahuas are raised inside our home as part of our family and receive lots of love, attention, socialization, and high-quality care from day one. We are dedicated to raising happy, healthy, well-loved AKC Chihuahua puppies with wonderful temperaments. Our goal is to match each puppy with a loving forever family where they will be treasured just as much as they are here. We offer local pickup and can also meet families at the Nashville airport for those traveling from out of state.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always had a special love for Chihuahuas and their big personalities, loyalty, and affectionate nature. Over time, that love grew into a passion for raising healthy, well-socialized puppies in a loving home environment. I wanted to create a small breeding program where every puppy receives individual attention, quality care, and lots of love from the very beginning. Sugarbutt Chihuahuas was created from that passion and the joy of helping families find a special little companion to love.What makes your program special?
What makes Sugarbutt Chihuahuas special is the personal care and attention we give every puppy from the very beginning. Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family, not in kennels, and are handled, loved, and socialized daily. We focus on raising healthy, happy Chihuahuas with sweet temperaments and confident personalities. Each puppy receives quality nutrition, age-appropriate veterinary care, and a vet exam before going home, along with a health guarantee. Because we are a small breeding program, we are able to give each puppy individual attention and get to know their personality so we can help match them with the right forever family. Our goal is not just to raise beautiful Chihuahuas, but to raise well-loved companions who are prepared to become a cherished part of their new family.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Getting a puppy from Lisa
Lisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Lisa partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Our goal is to make sure each puppy is placed with the family that is the best fit for their personality, size, and individual needs. We take time to learn about each potential home, including lifestyle, other pets, children, and what they are looking for in a Chihuahua. Because some of our puppies are very small, certain puppies may be better suited for adult homes or families without young children. We also consider whether a puppy is being placed as a companion or if there are any special placement requirements. Above all, we want every puppy to go to a safe, loving, forever home where they will be treated as a cherished member of the family.”

“Your Sugarbutt Chihuahua puppy will go home with everything needed for a happy, healthy start. The purchase price includes: • AKC registration paperwork • Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming • Veterinary health check • Dewclaws removed • Health records • Puppy food to help with the transition • A familiar-scented item from home • Ongoing breeder support after your puppy goes home Our puppies are raised inside our home with lots of love, attention, and daily socialization. A $500 deposit is required to reserve your puppy and is applied toward the total purchase price. Puppies will be ready for their new families at approximately 10–12 weeks of age. Local pickup is available, and we can meet out-of-state families at Nashville International Airport.”
