Meet the breeder

I'm Deanna L., the breeder behind Lotsofdots Dalmatians located in Claremore, OK. We breed AKC HUA and LUA Dalmatians. Our puppies are raised in our home and handled daily. We breed specifically for temperament and are also part of the AKC bred with H.E.A.R.T. Program. If you have any questions about puppies, current, or future litters please send us a message. Puppies are normally sold as pets only but full AKC rights are occasionally available.

Q. & A. with Deanna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first Dalmatian when I was 10 years old and knew I would have Dalmatians for the rest of my life. I wanted people to experience the pure bliss of owning a Dalmatian. They are such an amazing breed, fiercely loyal, super affectionate, and hysterical clowns. They just make you happy and that is something I want to share with people.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed specifically for health and temperament. Our adult dogs are all health tested, well socialized, and obedience trained. Some of our adults have their AKC Canine Goodcitizenship Awards and come from a line of Certified therapy dogs. Puppies are well socialized and loved in our home. Our puppies are extremely intelligent and make great companions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and liver brown and white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Hyperuricosuria (HUU)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

When I was a child in the 90's I have always wanted a Dalmatian, although now in my 30's I had never seen one in real life. Until I met Alex, which quite frankly has quickly become the greatest decision I have made. Deanna was very knowledgeable and provided me with any resource of information I could possibly need. I flew in from the other side of the country and Deanna was very accommodating and even included a goody bag with all my necessities to drive back across the U.S. Throughout the process of me being able to get over there to pick Mr. Alex up, she was responsive, informative, and delightful to work with the entire time, and has even followed up with me multiple times to provide advice and just to see how my new best friend is doing. I could not be happier with my experience with Deanna, and highly recommend her to anyone in the future. :)

From the very first interaction with Deanna you could tell she was very passionate about dalmatians and answered any questions I had and told me all about the breed and things that I never knew. You can tell she really cares that all of her puppies go to a good loving home and that they are all up-to-date on their shots before leaving her. She gave a full binder full of information that we can always go back to and refer and she said she’s always there as a contact as well if we have any questions about our puppy. Good Dog made the process seamless. Would definitely use them in the future.

Deanna was very professional from start to finish. I reached out to her inquiring about a dalmatian. She called back the same day and interviewed me. She was incredibly friendly and communicative. Once we spoke, she sent regular puppy updates (pupdates) and photos. We fell in love with our girl before even meeting her. She invited us to come by and play with the litter. Once it was time to pick up, she prepared a binder for us containing information about the breed, feeding schedules, shot records, and everything you can think of. It was a 5-star experience all the way through.

We are extremely happy with our adoption experience with Lotsofdots Dalmatians and Deanna through Good Dog. From beginning to end, Deanna made this experience wonderful, and we were very pleased with all of the information and items that Deanna included to make our puppy’s transition to our home more comfortable. Our puppy, Nix (Nutmeg), is so sweet and loving toward everyone she meets, and is fitting into our household very well. The is adorable, with a wonderful temperament. Thank you Deanna for being such a wonderful breeder of Dalmatians and a great person to work with.

Deanna was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. She continues to be available whenever I have questions about my Dalmatian and has been very supportive as I learn what’s best for him. The entire experience was smooth and straightforward. She ensured he was up to date on all vaccinations and completed the necessary health testing, which gave me great peace of mind. I am so thankful for my sweet, energetic boy, he truly is the best. I would absolutely recommend Deanna to anyone looking for a Dalmatian puppy.
