I'm Lois M., the breeder behind Marchwind Farm located in Vienna, GA. Medical school through a military scholarship, 10 years active duty USN, 40 years as a physician, Over the past 30 years I have produced and finished at least 10 champion Italian Greyhounds every year, sometimes more. I have had 4 best in show dogs and a Westminster Best of Breed.

Why did you start breeding?
I bred my first litter, German Shepherds, when I was 16 years old. I discovered Italian Greyhounds at a dog club meeting in Virginia Beach in 1975 and thought they were the ideal breed for this century. I have had IGs ever since.What makes your program special?
What makes MARCHWIND special is my attention to detail, my education, my resources, and my conviction through observation that early intervention in behavior is key to producing friendly, adaptable puppies, as well as careful choice of breeding pairs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lois
Lois has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Lois partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“I listen to what the client wants, then consider their living situation and how they plan to keep their dog. Prolonged crating is not allowed.”
Price
“The price includes the first round of vaccinations, microchipping, AKC litter registration, pedigree, health record, and other information in the folder. It also includes access to professional advice regarding health and behavior for the life of the dog. half the price of the puppy is the deposit. I will hold the puppy for 1 week pending receipt of the deposit, and you will work with Good Dog regarding money.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Fran Marron passed away last year and this is the last of her legacy.
