I'm Melba W., the breeder behind Mel's Wags & Kisses located in Emory, TX. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable puppies and connect loving families with their new best friends! Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!

Why did you start breeding?
I started in 2001 to help occupy my time. I worked a full time job but am not one for sitting in front of a TV. I was raised with dogs, horses and many types of animals. I have a passion to provide healthy, well socialized life long companions to responsible people seeking the same.What makes your program special?
I am a very small breeder. My puppies are raised in my home hearing normal everyday sounds like the TV, Vacuum, my friends playing dominos twice a week and my Grandson that I am raising. It makes a difference versus being in an outside building hearing only Dog noises. They are picked up and loved on daily.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Poodle puppies are toy size. Companion Cross puppies are small size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our Chihuahua puppies have long coats. Companion Cross puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Chihuahua puppies include blue merle and black and tan. Poodle puppies include black, brown, parti, and brindle. Companion Cross puppies include black and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Melba has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“My price includes APRI or AKC puppy registration papers, 2 sets of Vaccines, a well puppy check with a Vet letter before going home, a One year Written Health Guarantee against death from a genetic defect, puppy food and I will drive 2 hours to meet at no cost. My deposits are non-refundable should you change your mind but is refundable if there is a health issue with the puppy.”
