Q. & A. with Penny
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always been interested in purebred dogs. I educated myself on all of the AKC breeds, breed standards, dog shows requirements and processes and it ultimately led me to breeding my first litter after completing her AKC Grand Championship and verifying all health tests were in compliance with our parent club guidelines.
What makes your program special?
I breed for correct conformation and temperament. All breeding pairs are AKC Champions and health tested per our parent organization guidelines and compatible with each other. Puppies are well socialized, given many different experiences before 10 weeks of age. Puppies are temperament tested at 7 weeks to ensure they go to a compatible home. All potential homes are surveyed and approved by me.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown and white, black and white, black, and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
