Meet the breeder

I'm Andrea H., the breeder behind Meteora Bullmastiffs located in Carrollton, TX. Meteora Bullmastiffs breeds for exceptional show dogs, with an emphasis on friendly temperaments, and thorough health testing. We are a small hobby breeder who occasionally has litters of show and companion puppies. All litters are selected with great care to honor soundness of body and mind for our dogs, and longevity is heavily considered when selecting sires and dams for litters.

Q. & A. with Andrea

  • Why did you start breeding?

Bullmastiffs appealed to me for many years before I pursued them. As a young person, I first entered working breeds in Rottweilers in 2009. Despite my love for Rottweilers, I found the temperaments in the breed to be a concern. Aesthetics and drive are important to me, but large working dogs in modern society must be bombproof and even tempered for most homes. Bullmastiffs were a natural fit.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed infrequently, and strive to produce top conformation quality dogs, who can compete on a national level. Some of my dogs have achieved great feats at the most prestigious shows in the US. Aside from their stunning appearance, my program will always focus on health. As a veterinarian, they must be as healthy as the breed can offer.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn brindle, red brindle, fawn, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
