Due Apr. 2026
I'm Erin M., the breeder behind Miyo Ken located in Hubert, NC. We are committed to always responsibly breeding with the best interest of our puppies’ health and longevity at the forefront. We only breed 100% Japanese Akitainus from imported lines. Our dogs are each carefully chosen and are wonderful examples of conformation, temperament, and performance. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can not only be wonderful examples of the breed but also bring their families joy as wonderful pets and companions.

Erin has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

"Our puppies will usually fall between $2500-$3500, though there may be some exceptions. Prices will be based on each individual puppy and may depend on color, gender, or the particular breeding. Prices will also differ between pets or dogs meant for breeding/show. Breeding/show rights may be available for approved puppies going to approved homes. These puppies would will include the additional paperwork and breeder support needed for show/breeding. The deposit for the waitlist is refundable. A deposit holding a specific puppy that has been removed from availability is considered a “holding fee” and is then Non-Refundable. The waitlist deposit becomes the holding fee when a puppy is chosen."
Erin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Erin offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Erin directly.

Katsu (formerly known as Mitsushiro) has brought so much joy to our lives. After losing our GS in December 2024, it was a very thoughtful decision to have another pup. With that said, we wanted to go with a reputable breeder, and we are so thankful to come across Erin and her Akitas. Katsu is very well tempered with bouts of energy that makes him so fun loving. He took to his crate immediately and potty training has been pretty much a breeze. We’re using a bell on the door and just in 2 weeks, he’s been using it to signal he wants to go outside. We’ve only had 3 accidents in the house. I credit his temperament and personality to Erin and her carefully selected pack. We are still in awe. He can sit, lay down, walks on a leash, comes, and can heel. Very receptive to training (we use kibble mostly). We definitely see the stubborn side everyone mentions when it comes to Akita’s. Just have to be consistent and patient. Erin was amazing at answering all of my questions. She would go into detail when needed and it was really helpful. All in all, a wonderful experience and breeder. One of the rare ones that has full checkups done -and- posted and with AKC registration (pending but coming!). Had I gone for distance, I could’ve gone with someone in CA but Erin’s pups are worth the flight.

Erin was fast at responding to messages and took great care of the puppies. I enjoyed looking at the pictures and videos of the litter in the weeks leading up to taking my sweet girl home. Jade is great with other dogs and cats, and getting her has been a great experience all around!

It was a great experience to work with Erin. Everything went smooth and she was very professional. Paperworks were clear and easy, she informed everything we needed to know. Erin shared so many pictures from whelping to the day we picked up the puppy. We are very satisfied and happy that we could get a puppy from her.
