Balanced, emotionally intuitive, people-focused foundation dog Lyra is what we call a true regulator type. She carries a naturally steady temperament with strong emotional intelligence and deep people connection. She’s calm, socially aware, and intuitively reads her environment, often helping de-escalate energy rather than adding to it. Lyra is the kind of dog who blends seamlessly into family life while still maintaining confident presence and awareness. She is highly people oriented and forms strong bonds with her humans. This balance makes her an exceptional companion and an incredible foundation female in our program. Temperament wise, Lyra represents stability, emotional regulation, and cooperative engagement. She adapts easily to new environments, settles well in busy settings, and shows excellent recovery after stimulation. She is socially appropriate with other dogs and naturally attuned to household dynamics. Lyra excels with relationship-based training and responds beautifully to calm leadership and clear communication. She enjoys learning, structured engagement, and being part of her people’s world. Her temperament makes her especially well suited for family environments, public outings, and homes that value emotional connection and intentional raising. Structurally, Lyra is athletic and well balanced, with strong bone, good proportions, and fluid movement. She embodies the functional, sound hybrid mastiff type we aim to produce: capable, grounded, and built for longevity. Lyra is the heart-dog of our program.
