I'm Kate S., the breeder behind Mountain Meadow Ranch located in Huson, MT. My dogs are part of the family first and foremost and live in my home. I breed for quality, conformation, and disposition. While showing is not my main focus, I take pride in the recognition I get for conformationally correct, quality dogs! I have many years of experience with these breeds, so I am happy to tell you more about what life with a Mastiff is like and how they will not only enhance your daily life, but exceed your expectations!
Q. & A. with Kate
Why did you start breeding?
I have always enjoyed putting together genetics with raising horses and cows, so it was a natural transition to dogs after I got into dog shows. I enjoy breeding with the goal of bettering the breed. It has been such a fulfilling journey, and I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far with my program.
What makes your program special?
I am not a kennel. My dogs are family and not a tool to make money. I bought quality dogs from reputable breeders to be the basis of my program. The quality of my puppies reflects the conscious decisions I make throughout every part of the breeding process!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, fawn, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
