I'm Rebecca K., the breeder behind Mountain Valley Spinone located in Teton County, ID. I am an AKC Breeder of Merit of quality Spinone Italiano puppies with a focus on the breed standard, conformation, and pedigree. My goal is to create an excellent representation of the Spinone Italiano standard with puppies that are not only structurally sound, but healthy, diverse, and have great hunting drives and personality, too! Why did you start breeding?
Purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy progression of the Spinone Italiano. My goals are to breed with a focus on health, good temperament, structure, and field ability for a well-rounded dog!What makes your program special?
I am a premier breeder of Spinone Italiano. I do not breed my dogs unless they are health-certified, happy, and excellent representations of the breed standard. My dogs also make great family companions and have the ability to excel in obedience, tracking, agility, therapy, and more! My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience, and that includes always having responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I am very conscious about who I rehome my puppies to and always ensure that each one goes to the best home possible complementary to its personality and ability.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
