I'm Susan A., the breeder behind MountainAyres Australian Cobberdogs located in Clancy, MT. We are committed to the integrity of the breed and only breed Australian Cobberdogs whose lines can be traced back to the breed founders Rutland Manor and Tegan Park in Australia.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I became involved with dog therapy work and discovered the Australian Cobberdog which was developed to be therapy, service and all around They are my true passion and am dedicated to preserving and protecting this deserving breed in development.
  • What makes your program special?

    I have always been successful in maintaining a quality over quantity agenda. My dogs have achieved many titles and have always maintained exceptional health and temperaments.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cafe, brown, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Susan

Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes one year health guarantee against genetic defects, appropriate vaccinations,deworming, micro chip,socialization and MDBA registration. Puppies are allocated to their new owners based on temperament, personality and lifestyle. Deposit is non-refundable unless I am unable to provide a puppy to the perspective buyer.”

Contract & health guarantee

Susan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing

MountainAyres Australian Cobberdogs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Cobberdogs.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
