I'm Shelley K., the breeder behind MountainTop Vizslas located in Boaz, AL. I have raised vizslas for 18 years and absolutely adore this breed. We health test and strive toward breed standards to bring our families beautiful and healthy pups. Our love for our dogs pushed us to begin breeding. We love to see the results of our efforts in the sweet, happy, and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others. We have a large play area for our pups with many activities for them to become socialized and more comfortable with an active family. We have swings for the pups so they get accustomed to being on a moving surface. We have many families that love to boat or kayak and they love this extra bit of socialization for their pup. The introduction to a new activity comes much easier when the pup is confident and not fearful.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the breed and I wanted to share the best version of this breed with everyone.What makes your program special?
This is my full time work. I spend hours a day out with my dogs and pups. Special socialization techniques are implemented to give the pups the best start possible!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,600 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

+8I think Shelley would agree that our interaction was brief, organized, and extremely easy. I wanted my lil guy, she had my lil guy. I came and picked up my lil guy, met his papa. Told the papa I’d take good care of his son. Maybe I got lucky with my timing and the timing of the litters 🤷🏻♂️….Maybe I got lucky with the pick of the litter with my lil Frank 🤷🏻♂️….Maybe Vizsla’s are just the best thing ever 🤷🏻♂️ What I do know is if you are able & willing to give constant, consistent attention, training, & love to a dog, the Vizsla will repay you 10x in love affection. If I had a pouch like a kangaroo, Frank would be in it. Potty training is this: when my lil fella leaves my side, he’s got to go potty. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t leave my side…..EVER He’s a little octopus at night. Sleeps with you and burrows into the most adorable positions. Happy customer right here!!! Shelley has a beautiful piece of heaven in the mountains of Alabama. If you get a chance to go to Boaz, you’ll have the cutest welcome wagon of 3-7 Vizslas. I had kisses from at least 3 pups before I got both feet out of the rental car. I’ve been so happy with my pup from MountainTop Vizsla. Way more than I thought was possible. This little guy melts my heart every day. And he’s only slightly annoying about 1% of the time. My pup is still only 10 weeks old. He’s learning ability is unlike anything I’ve experienced. I don’t even use treats for his training, he prefers loving praise over treats. Best decision I’ve ever made

We had a great experience with Shelley at MountainTop Vizslas. We had video updates weekly once the litter was born. Shelley was quick to teach us a few tricks about how to train once we brought our girl home. Shelley was a very kind and informative person who took the time to give me all the required information and tips for managing a new puppy. It’s been nearly 2 months since we picked up our female vizsla and like any puppy, there have been some trials and errors, but she’s turning out to be a great dog. I would recommend her in case you’re interested in getting a vizsla.
