I'm Dana H., the breeder behind Mtn Cuddles Chihuahuas located in Morganton, GA. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! We fell in love with the breed because of their intelligence and personality. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them the way that we do!

Why did you start breeding?
I love the chihuahua breed and the attitude along with the affectionate attachment to the owner that they have. I started with a male long coat and decided to find one more as reached age 9. I was not able to find a AKC Chihuahua within the state of Georgia that was had the features and followed the AKC standards. I began looking abroad and decided to start breeding to enjoy the puppies as a hobby and to share the love with others. I only have a couple of litters a year because of this reason. So I pride myself in quality over the quantity. I do my very best to send out a show dog to each home regardless if it is pet only or not. I have had to make some adjustments along the way but my focus has continually been to better the breed and follow the AKC guidelines.What makes your program special?
The time and efforts I put into each of my dogs to make sure they are healthy, socialized and starting a potty training period before leaving for their new forever home.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, blue, gold, white, blue and tan, black and tan, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Dana
Dana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $2,000 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $6,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes genetic Heath guarantee up to age 12 months old. AKC registration papers, first round of vaccinations and deworming, microchip and family socializing and sounds. Deposit may be different as the price of the puppy/dog is different for each one. I do usually ask for 50% deposit. With remaining balance due upon pick up or 10 days before transport. Transport cost is not included in price of puppy/dog.”

Dana was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. She took plenty of time to walk us through the process and answer any questions.
